Brookhaven Dog Run

We just noticed this about a month ago, even though we drive past the spot every single day, so it must be pretty new. It's on Montauk Highway, right up against Wertheim Wildlife Refuge. It's just a big field, but the dogs we see there always look like they're having a great time. The owners brought chairs to sit on in the snow, LOL! Everyone looked happy.

From William Floyd Parkway, head west on Montauk Highway. At Smith Road is Wertheim. Keep going straight another quarter of a mile or so, and the dog run is on the left (eastbound) side of Montauk Highway. You can also get to it from Horseblock Road, just come east on Montauk Highway then, and the park is on the right. There's a Brookhaven Town sign at the entrance. Have fun!!
